Experience

• Thirteen years of experience in education sector at both higher education and at school level. Worked as Assistant Professor in University of Delhi for five years teaching various subjects related to Commerce and Business Studies such as Quantitative Techniques , Financial Management, Entrepreneurship , Industrial relations etc . Joined as Academic Officer with National Institute of Open Schooling developing course material for secondary , senior secondary and vocational programmes such as Insurance services, Secretarial Practices, e-typewriting, Entrepreneurship in English and Hindi language. Presently working with NIOS as Assistant Director in Vocational Education Department.

Contribution to NIOS in last one year

• As Assistant Director at Regional Centre Kochi was responsible for organizing and conduct of public exam twice in a year . Evaluation and result cell related activities esp. timely submission and settlement of discrepancy cases thereafter
• Conduct of On Demand Examination
• Translation of PMGDISHA question bank in Malayalam .
• Translation work of TMA in Malayalam.
• Monitoring of Regional centre accounts and ensured smooth conduct of audit during the year.   
• Translation of D.eled programme guide in Malayalam
• Conduct of D.EL.ED exams in the state of Kerala
• Expansion of OBE programs and increased admissions in Kerala
• Accreditation and strengthening of AI'S , AVI's in the region
• Conducted orientation programmes at various clusters for  Handloom weavers project . Approx 128 candidates enrolled within the region .
